ABOUT GEORGINA

Georgina started riding at 11 years old and was hooked from the get-go. Initially dressage was her chosen discipline – competing up to an impressive level at Prix St George – but as the years went on, she found herself enjoying it less than she should. The competition was becoming relentless, and the spark had dwindled. In a bid to resurrect her mojo and rekindle her enjoyment of horses, she decided to buy a fun allrounder in 2015. It was during this time that Georgie began jumping and it was quickly evident that this was where her true passion lies. She was hooked. An instant convert, she wholeheartedly threw herself into show jumping and has never looked back.

The first few years were tough though. Such a drastic change of discipline meant falling off a lot! As anyone that knows the trials and tribulations of equestrian sport first-hand will testify – it’s harder than it looks. But with the right support group, training and lots of determination, things started to turn around.

Georgina now has five horses competing up to Grand Prix, both nationally and internationally.
